Stern Review now inviting evidence on handling of rape complaints

Baroness Stern is carrying out an independent review into the handling of rape compaints, due to be published in February 2010.The Stern Review is examining the whole process of a rape compalint from first disclosure to the verdict being given in court. The Baroness has already met with professionals across the UK, and would now like to hear evidence “from the wider community”. She is particularly interested in hearing from people working within the police, local authorities, the Crown Prosecution Service, the health service and the third sector, but anyone is welcome to put forward their views and share their experiences.
