Women like gadgets, dislike electronics shops.

Amazing new findings from Saatchi and Saatchi are that women do like electronic and gadgets but dislike the rampant laddism and butch heterosexuality of electronics shops. It’s apparently news that women don’t spend money in shops where they are treated in particularly sexist ways and electronics shops have been named as a key example of this. A third of women in the poll said they would spend more on gadgets if retailers learned how to approach them.

And, manufacturers take note please:

only 9% of those questioned felt it was important that gadgets looked feminine. In addition, many said that they felt patronised by pink digital radios and diamante-encrusted mobile phones.
