Some of you may know I have been working for the last few months on a crowdfunded project about domestic abuse.
I’m trying to unpick the financial reasons that people stay in abusive relationships, and how that might have got worse due to government cuts, welfare reforms and austerity measures.
I’m also looking at the myths around why people don’t just leave once a relationship turns violent or otherwise abusive.
All this is for a series of articles that will be published by the news agency Women’s eNews.
