Women’s Aid have launched an online survivors’ forum for women affected by domestic abuse:

We hope that the Survivors’ Forum will help abused women by enabling them to support each other and share their experiences. At Women’s Aid we know that many women prefer to seek help and support online, as it is less intimidating than directly speaking to someone. For many women affected by domestic violence, talking to and hearing stories from other women who have been in a similar situation can provide reassurance and encourage them to break their silence and seek help.

You can access the forum here. If you need immediate help and support, you can call the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247 (run in partnership between Women’s Aid & Refuge).
