It’s June already which means we bid a fond farewell to May’s guest bloggers, Julian Norman and Lucy Fenner. Thank you so much, both of you, we’ve loved having you!

However, we’re excited to have Melaina as our guest for the month of June, so please give her a warm welcome. Melania is an American Mom in Scotland & Social Media Consultant. She’s a Cincinnati girl who studied Women’s Studies and Social Research and is a proud feminist. She has lived in Glasgow since 2004 and works from home as a freelance Social Media Consultant working with large national companies as well as small local businesses. She loves sushi, hates oranges & is as punk rock as a sorority girl gets. She tweets at @Melaina25 and blogs at Transatlantic Blonde.

Image from Flickr user juliejordanscott shows art work on a wall. The art work depicts a childlike painting of the head of a white woman with hair in bunches and a grimace on her face, next to a blackboard which has written on it: “FEMINISM is the radical notion that women are people”. It is signed by Cheris Kramarae and Paula Treichler.
