February’s guest bloggers

It looks like February is here – where does the time go?!

That means it’s time to bid farewell to our January guest bloggers (with many thanks for their contributions!) and welcome our new voices for the month. First of all, here’s Isla Kennedy, in her own words:

I am a 25-year-old technology consultant living in Essex but soon moving to Hackney. I went to school in East London and then read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford. I was always into Army stuff and planned to join the Educational Training Services or Intelligence Corps but an injury prevented me from doing so. I went into technology consultancy instead – a good fit as I enjoy problem-solving. I also love travel, films, dance, musical theatre, fashion, home improvement and adventurous sports, including trekking, climbing and skiing. I come from an all-female family (two older sisters and separated parents) and I probably get my feminist interest from my mum, who has always encouraged us to do what we want and be the best we can, and taught us that gender should not affect what you can and can’t achieve.

We’ll introduce our second February guest blogger shortly.
